🌴 FROM BACKPACKS TO BARS — THE STORY OF PIRATE’S GROG 🌴 Pirate’s Grog was founded by Beth and Gaz, two adventurers who left the nine-to-five behind to explore the world. Their journey led them to the Caribbean island of Roatán, where a chance encounter with a Dutch pirate and his stash of aged rum sparked the idea that would become Pirate’s Grog. Returning to London in 2014, they began hand-filling bottles and selling rum out of the back of a van at markets and festivals. What started as a passion project has since grown into a seven-figure independent rum business, now stocked in Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, and John Lewis, and shipped to rum lovers across the UK and around the world. Today, Pirate’s Grog is headquartered in Tottenham, North London, where the team operates from their own warehouse and underground event space—Distillery N17. It's here they also host Rumbellion Festival, the UK’s first dedicated rum and music festival, a full-throttle celebration of rum, rhythm and rebellion.
