Corals worldwide are in trouble, but there exist strains naturally resistant to todays conditions. We need to make more of these. Our goal is to implement the newest techniques and develop improved technologies to produce more resilient corals for the changing world oceans. . They provide habitats for numerous juvenile fish, and fisheries depend on the reefs for 25-40% of the catch globally. Coral reefs are the rainforests of the sea, and along with ocean plants these tiny important animals produce a large amount of the oxygen we breath. Coral reefs also protect the shorelines from wave and storm damage and help to decrease the effects of the ever increasing intensity of our weather patterns. We know we can save coral reefs for the future of our planet If we act now, there is HOPE.
