Carrie B Schwing & Jacob Hortenstein’s great-grandson (Jacob Kenedy) opened Plaquemine Lock in London on the Regents Canal in 2017 in their honour, to champion Luisian cuisine in London, and to give and share good times with all who come to the pub Our mission is to encourage good eating, responsible drinking and social behaviour, and to be good neighbours to our Islington community. Welcoming our customers to enjoy themselves to the fullest in a safe and secure premises, whilst running a profitable business, and never compromising on our customer experience. We care for our staff, ensuring safety at work and promoting training and self-development.
