PIE is the NETWORK of Dutch professionals dealing with capacity development in the Global South, the VOICE in fora where the future of global development is discussed and the INFORMATION CHANNEL on programmes offering opportunities for collaboration with low- and middle income countries and countries in transition.
PIE is a platform for Dutch institutions that partner with non-European organisations in the area of global knowledge development. Its primary focus is on post-secondary education, scientific research, knowledge innovation and knowledge valorisation. This cooperation supports the development of partner institutes and partner countries and enhances knowledge development at Dutch institutions. In this way, the platform contributes to a better understanding of global development issues in the Netherlands and a more identifiable contribution from the Netherlands to the global knowledge network.
✔PIE is the only platform within the Dutch knowledge sector that is dedicated to cooperation with non-European partners with the purpose of global knowledge development.
