The Pleasant Township Fire Department is a Public Safety Agency based at 10 West Pleasant St, Catawba, Ohio, United States. PTFD has been in existence since 1948 and is the oldest continuously serving township fire department in Clark County, Ohio. Starting with a single cast-off surplus WWII Dodge pumper bought from the U.S. Navy, Pleasant Township Fire was begun by concerned citizens who were driven to help their neighbors in distress, and this mindset continues to be the cornerstone of our agency. Adding a second truck and a former funeral coach ambulance in the 1950s, Pleasant Township Fire has been a leader in rural Fire and EMS operations through to the present day.
