PLURAL FUTURES LAB designs purpose-driven organizations for a positive future. As organizational designers, we ask big questions about what is working and what is not within an organization. An organization is a group of people with diverse needs working towards a shared purpose. Building an organization that thrives requires understanding that purpose and those needs. We co-create that understanding by soliciting diverse personal and shared perspectives. We then guide organizations in articulating a vision of who and how they want to be, and in designing structures, practices, and cultures that support that vision. As practitioners of strategic foresight, we provide cognitive scaffolding to help our clients experience and respond to their own futures. Human brains are not inherently skilled at thinking about the future. Strategic foresight is a set of tools and mindsets that allow us to break through inherent biases. Using trend identification, perspective taking, and storytelling, we lead clients in identifying their preferred futures and help them strategize and prepare for them.
