For nearly two decades, Poetry in Action has been on a mission to unlock the power of words for young people, transforming poetry and literature into dynamic performances that inspire creativity, confidence, and connection.
As we approach our 20th anniversary in 2026, we reflect on an incredible journey that has seen us reach over 900,000 students across 600+ locations annually, both nationally and internationally. From regional classrooms in Australia to audiences in New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Dubai, our work brings the magic of poetry to life for students aged 11–18.
Looking ahead, we aim to:
Celebrate two decades of impact by reaching our 1 millionth student.
Launch Paradise Lost as a bold flagship production blending classical literature with cutting-edge theatre.
Expand programs for senior citizens and regional communities, ensuring inclusivity across generations and geographies.
Continue developing the careers of emerging artists, with 80% of our alumni thriving in the arts sector.
