We want poker to become a hobby for everybody by creating a friendly atmosphere at the poker table - just as in the home. We want to create the kind of atmosphere by a totally new approach to managing tables, games, participants, matchmaking features etc. We do this because we strongly believe that poker as a hobby is not only an interesting and engaging activity but also a tool for developing skills in building careers, developing businesses, becoming more effective in one’s studies and life in general. Hence, in developing poker as a hobby we are building a happier society, helping people become more skillful and effective in whatever they do.
Poks Company is to be an ecosystem of online and offline poker products for new poker players as well as for more advanced ones. This ecosystem is going to consist of the following elements:
• a poker edutainment service (is being developed)
• an online platform for poker players (is being developed)
• a solution to register in an offline tournament organized by us (MVP is being piloted)
• a union of online poker clubs Liga Particular (is being scaled up)
• an online poker club Club Particular (is being scaled up)
We are currently a team of 60. We hail from different countries with diverse backgrounds (from large corporations to entrepreneurs, from gaming to banking) and age groups. Our dynamic and varied team is a lively demonstration of the belief that anybody can make poker their hobby and enjoy it. Our hub is located in São Paulo, but the majority of the team members work remotely.
