POLARIS is currently a research group at The University of Sheffield with strong relationships within both MRI manufacturing companies and pharmaceutical companies.
We have expertise in delivering clinical trials utilising hyperpolarised xenon-129 MRI of the lung and have the capabilities to set-up multiple sites with this exciting technology providing new insights into the function of the lung in a multitude of pulmonary pathologies.
Alongside lung imaging we have specialist knowledge in developing pulse sequences, integrating the hardware and software required for this type of imaging and also development of high performance radiofrequency coils for a multitude of imaging applications.
