Polaris is an amateur rocketry organization founded in November of 2022 by Yug Shukla and Sohum Gautam. Driven by a passion for space exploration and a desire to push the boundaries of amateur rocketry, Polaris was created with the goal of competing in the American Rocketry Competition, as well as researching affordable methods to conduct experiments in space. Polaris is also conducting research and development on the Apophis family of sounding rockets, which are designed to be reusable, efficient, environmentally friendly, and affordable, for the advancement of space exploration. We have also begun the development of a liquid rocketry program, in order to compete in the FAR-DPF, FAR-MARS, and Spaceport America launch competitions. Polaris is committed to developing innovative rocket designs and pushing the limits of what is possible in amateur rocketry.
