Founded in 1964 by Colin Harwood, this family business has grown from its humble beginnings to two facilities located in Blackburn, of more than fifteen thousand square feet. Although the current workforce totals more than 40, Polymet is very much a family business. Colin's two sons, Russell and Stuart have both been an integral part of the business since the late 1980's, and more recently, Stuart's son Ethan became a valued member of the design team. Phil Crowe joined Polymet in 2010, becoming a director and shareholder in 2014. The Works Manager, Ronald Thompson has been with the company since 1979. Although Phil and Ronald are not family members, they are very much part of the family business. With the combined experience of the management team Polymet can offer help and advice on many aspects of Fabrication, Polishing and Design when required. Bespoke solutions are very much our forte.
