American Legion Post 64, a 501(C)(19) nonprofit organization, proudly serves the Ahwatukee Community in Phoenix, AZ as the sole veteran organization. Through our four pillars program, we effectively help to lead the community, prioritizing Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation. Our dedicated veteran service officer (VSO) is readily available to provide assistance with disability claims. In our commitment to national security, we advocate for a Full Accounting of American POW/MIAs, reinforcing our strong Americanism. We collaborate with the Boy Scouts of America to ensure proper disposal of community flags that are no longer usable, while also supporting youth and children of veteran families with temporary financial aid when needed. As active participants in community events, we extend our support to students in elementary schools through high school by organizing writing contests and presenting awards and other prizes.
