The Postharvest Innovation Hub (PI Hub) is situated at the Department of Crop Science, School of Agriculture, University of Ghana
The Hub was established with funding from Busters Apex and support from the Department of Crop Science, University of Ghana (UG) in March 2024.
Our Mandate: To develop, implement, and disseminate innovative postharvest solutions that reduce postharvest losses, improve food quality and safety, and enhance the livelihoods of farmers, processors, and consumers through research, collaboration, and capacity building.
A key feature of this Centre is to create an ecosystem where women and youth entrepreneurs and other stakeholders, connect, increase knowledge sharing, and co-create solutions to spur innovations and business opportunities to reduce postharvest losses in agricultural produce.
