Prabhu Energy Labs is pioneering the Oxiperator to eliminate weak methane emissions to slow the rate of climate change.
Methane emissions abatement of both industrial and naturally occurring sources have been made a top priority by NOAA, the EPA, DOE and Environmental Defense Fund. The lower the concentration of methane emissions in air, the more technically difficult they are to remove. We've come up with an approach that avoids the use of catalysts, is compact, portable and fast to deploy.
The Oxiperator is the world's first porous heat exchanger-oxidizer to mitigate "weak" methane emissions, with the capacity to drive a gas turbine to generate clean electricity - no catalyst required. The patented Oxiperator removes hard-to-abate methane emissions from the air at roughly half the cost and 1/4 the physical size of incumbent technology solutions.
