Organization Of Joint Action For Ecological Sustainability (Prerna OJAS) Prerna OJAS was incorporated on 22nd June, 2021 as a flagship initiative within UPSRLM. Wholly owned by SHG women from the 89 CLFs/VOs, Prerna OJAS is focused on empowering rural women through sustainable energy solutions. It aims to expand clean energy initiatives by increasing communities’ access to solar & renewable energy sources and clean cooking solutions, providing livelihood opportunities to SHG women and continuing the mission of sustainable development and empowerment in rural Uttar Pradesh. Through its operations, Prerna OJAS is dedicated to empowering rural women by providing energy-efficient livelihood solutions. This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of creating an Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) and fostering the development of women by making them economically independent. It also complements the Uttar Pradesh government’s Mission Shakti program, which focuses on empowering women and ensuring their safety, dignity, and self-reliance. Our Vision: Empowering SHG women in rural communities through solar and renewable energy solutions, fostering socio-economic development through innovation, awareness and collaboration. Our Mission: Providing livelihood opportunities to SHG women through renewable energy solutions and clean energy leading to promotion of green energy in rural areas.
