Prime Enviro Energy Lesotho (PEEL), is a project management company established to develop a waste-to-energy/agricultural project in the Kingdom of Lesotho.
PEEL is building four materials recovery centres in Lesotho (Maseru, Butha-Buthe, Mafeteng and Leribe) and 28 waste collection stations across the country.
We will be reclaiming recyclable materials from the waste streams and then converting the carbon-based waste, through a process of anaerobic digestion, to bio-methane, which will be used for cooking and heating gas domestically.
With the excess CO2, water, substrate and leachate PEEL will develop an agricultural project where it will grow pharmaceutical cannabis, asparagus, mushrooms and raise trout and snails.
