Pro Bono Club established at the Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow, Lucknow in 2023 works under the aegis of Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. The Pro Bono Club is a part of the "DISHA scheme" initiated by the Department of Justice, Government of India. It aims to promote and facilitate pro bono legal services in India. Pro bono refers to the provision of legal services on a voluntary basis, without any charge, to individuals or organizations who cannot afford legal representation.
