Project Rhize is a community service project initiated by SMU students, aiming to make meaningful change by increasing environmental consciousness and community participation in environmental conservation among the SMU community. The initial focus of Project Rhize, 'Rhize' comes from the scientific name for the mangrove species that grows on Singapore's coastlines, 'rhizophora'.
Now on its fourth run, Project Rhize IV moves its focus to butterflies, aiming to contribute to environmental conservation by supporting SMU's efforts in maintaining urban biodiversity while raising active community engagement.
