Project SafeWeb is a student-led initiative combating cyber trafficking and digital exploitation through education, data-driven research, and storytelling.
In an age where exploitation thrives in digital spaces, Project SafeWeb empowers students and communities to understand and disrupt the systems that enable it. We focus on emerging threats like online grooming, sextortion, and trafficking networks that operate across social media, gaming platforms, and encrypted apps.
Rooted in cybersecurity and public policy, our work is grounded in both qualitative and quantitative research. We collect and analyze data on digital safety trends, platform vulnerabilities, and youth awareness to shape effective outreach and prevention strategies.
Partnering with experts, nonprofits, and survivor-led organizations like the Traverse Project, we organize educational events, produce digital content, and mobilize student leaders on college campuses.
Project SafeWeb is building a youth-powered movement that uses data, media, and education to create a safer, more informed internet for all.
