Project Sothea is a humanitarian aid project consisting of 30 students comprising 15 Year 1 and 15 Year 2 medical students from NUS Medicine and 21 Cambodian healthcare students from universities in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We aim to provide basic healthcare in the form of health screenings to villagers of all ages to deal with acute conditions, and help them cope with chronic illnesses via lifestyle changes and education programs. Furthermore, we hope to address other urgent needs of the villagers, which includes having a clean water supply and proper sanitation, as these are the primary causes of many health problems they face.
