Millions of people around the world suffer from some form of kidney disease. There are several causes and unfortunately, many of them are not well understood. We believe there are early markers that may show if a person is likely to develop kidney disease.
By participating in the KINDRED project, you can join the network of doctors and scientists at MGH, who are working tirelessly to find ways of treating, and even preventing kidney disease across the world.
The KINDRED project is focused on better understanding kidney disease. For this study, we are looking for blood samples from people who have end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and are currently on dialysis.
In this research project, we test blood samples you volunteer, hoping to determine better ways that will, in the future, help doctors and scientists at MGH, better identify if someone is at risk of developing kidney disease.
