Welcome to Project Urja, a student-driven initiative aimed at changing our approach to electrical energy consumption.
As we continue utilizing and squandering energy at a concerning pace, it is crucial to remember that our resources are limited and require responsible handling. We believe that environmentalism and sustainability is a skill that needs to be inculcated in every human being, and what better place to begin this journey than the school itself.
As part of our efforts to provide students with a hands-on learning experience revolving around real-world energy issues, we decided to work together to research and develop a renewable energy plant at our school. The idea for this initiative came about through a series of conversations. Mindsets change and our dependence on fossil fuels can be rectified through education.
We have designed a holistic and integrated approach to this project. We shall be working across diverse mediums and accommodate various skills and interests. The outcome of this project will be represented in the form of an operational renewable energy unit fulfilling the electricity requirements of our classrooms.
