ProLung Experience offers an immersive gaming experience to children in primary schools to educate them on respiratory conditions – COPD in particular. Our aim is to increase awareness, fundraising, and early diagnosis of such diseases, through well timed, engaging education.
For this reason we developed a breath-operated controlled computer game that aims at simulating the struggles patients go through in the simple act of breathing. Our simulator mimics the narrowing of the airways and the restricted flow through medically-accurate 3D printing and mechanical valves, measuring the air flow with a Sensirion® airflow meter.
