Romanian Association for Electronic Health Records - PROREC Romania - was founded in 2003 at the initiative of a group of specialists in medical informatics from Timisoara. PROREC Romania is an association with legal, governmental, apolitical and non-profit, with Romania as an area of activity. Shortly after its establishment, the association became a full member of the EUROREC Institute, joining such a network of national organizations from across the EU to form a permanent structure that facilitates dissemination of information on electronic health file.
