Centro de Investigación PROS Overview

PROS Research Center (Centro de Investigación en Métodos de Producción de Software / Research Center on Software Production Methods) from the Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain), has traditionally oriented its research efforts towards the study and creation of modelling languages and tools for the Software Engineering. PROS Research Center has a trajectory that lasts 20 years in research lines related to Software Engineering and Formal Methods. Its members constituted first the OO-Method Research Group, integrated in the Department of Information Systems and Computation of the Universitat Politècnica de Valéncia and, as a result of its growth, founded the PROS Research Center in June 2008 (www.pros.upv.es) Mission: "To improve the traditional software production methods, providing model-driven methods and techniques to develop quality software in a systematic and productive way". Research Strands: • Model Driven Development and Code Generation; • Organizational Modelling and Requirements Engineering, • Development of Ambient Intelligence Systems, • Human-Computer Interaction and Usability, • Web Engineering, • Conceptual Modelling and Development of Services and Web Applications, • Empirical Software Engineering, • Genome conceptual modelling and Bioinformatics • Software Quality and Automated Testing.
