Psoriasis Australia is a not-for-profit Health Consumer Association. Formed in 1986, to provide support to those suffering Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis. The Association provides peer-to-peer support to patients and carers through a variety of programs and services, including educational workshops, community events, online forums and printed patient information.
Psoriasis Australia’s mission is to be a valuable source of information and support to people with psoriasis in Australia, to ensure we are at the forefront of the latest psoriasis developments and have a team capable of providing information and support to our growing membership. We aim to drive efforts to cure psoriasis and improve the lives of those affected.
Psoriasis Australia is the Australian member if the International Federation of Psoriasis Associations which is affiliated with the World Health Organisation. Therefore, allowing Psoriasis Australia to be part of the global effort in finding a cure and supporting those affected by psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
The Association is also a member of the International Alliance of Dermatology Patient Organisations (IADPO). The IADPO, strives to improve the lives of those affected by dermatological disorders by conducting research with patients, advocating for access to new and existing treatments and raising awareness of the incidence of, and the challenges for, people living with skin diseases, and supporting non-profit dermatology patient organisations through education.
