We started Atlas Resources in 2007 with the aim of becoming a premier Indonesian coal producer through a strategy of rapid asset growth via acquisition, exploration and development, with an initial focus on smaller-scale regional coal concessions. This approach has been extensively developed, tested and refined, and in the ensuing years we have established a proven track record in the development of coal assets, expanding our portfolio of concession areas from 3 to 16, with an aggregate of roughly 195,000 hectares, across multiple sites with distinct geology, diverse geography and disparate markets.
Throughout our rapid expansion, we have sought to nurture an entrepreneurial culture that prizes agility, creativity and integrity at each level of our organization, while fostering strong relationships within the communities in which we operate as well as with our local and international business partners.
