PT. Karya Murni Perkasa (KMP) was established on 4th February 1978 by Djamet Marbun in the form of Commanditaire Vennotschap (CV) – “CV. Karya Murni” –. This company is located in Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia. By the development of needs, in 1983, the company’s form has been switched into Perseroan Terbatas (PT.). This company has engaged as a general contractor in various construction projects, such as bridges, roads, irrigation, and many infrastructure projects. The main business of PT. KMP was in producing and supplying Hotmix Asphalt, and in performing construction work in infrastructure projects. In general, most of the projects handled by PT. KMP was located around Medan.
After the death of Djamet Marbun in 2006, his sons – Harry Marbun, Robert Marbun, and Daniel Marbun – have continued the legacy of their father. They became the directors and commissioner of PT. KMP. Currently, PT. KMP has three factories Asphalt Mixing Plant (AMP) and stone crusher which are located in three districts in North Sumatera – Deli Serdang, Dairi, and Humbang Hasudutan. With the development of its factories amount, PT. KMP has undertaken some infrastructure projects inside and outside North Sumatera. Furthermore, this company not only takes a role as a general contractor but also as a supplier. In 2020, PT. KMP has expanded its business line to concrete materials.
According to Construction Services Development Board of Indonesia (LPJKI), PT. KMP has been registered as a member of Asosiasi Aspal Beton Indonesia (AABI) and characterized as a big business company classification. PT. KMP has been fully assessed and complied with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 to ensure quality, environment, health and safety of the construction works.
