This nonprofit research project at Stockholm University is funded by Formas, the Swedish Research Council for Sustainable Development. In the project, PhD students and senior researchers investigate public-private interactions in climate change governance. While cCorporations are increasingly participating in decarbonization and adaptation initiatives, yet it is unclear what role corporations play in governing climate change and to what extent public-private interactions succeed in providing appropriate and fair governance solutions. Drawing on qualitative and quantitative methods, the project explores the links between corporate and public climate governance, and effectiveness, and assesses the consequences for fair, effective and democratic outcomes.
