PuertaAbierta IAP Overview

Legally constituted on September 2004 as a Private Assistance Institution, it was initially conformed by a patronage in charge of promoting, protecting and improving the quality of life of 8 girls, as well as administering, conserving and improving the material resources of the Institution, which the government and civil society have given through in kind, professional, and economic donations. After years of work it is considered that attention is not enough. Hence, it is decided to work in the prevention area, integrating projects involving children, young people, parents and teachers in the state of Queretaro, aiming for a violence-free society. Prevention model Paxia® was developed and is being implemented in the most risky area of the city. The goal is to make kids grow into non violent adults with tools that can strengthen their abilities of conflict management, frustration tolerance and respect for differences
