We are an Italian knitwear manufacturer for women and men based in Imola, in the district of Bologna. The factory was established in 2010 from an idea by Giuliano Zanotti, who, after holding key roles in major Italian manufacturing companies, decided to start his own business. He founded the company with his partner, Luisa Dall'Osso.
Punto Maglia produces commissioned women’s and men’s knitwear for brands, wholesalers, and retailers. Customers can purchase our collections either through an online sales service or directly at our headquarters. Our collections include “Leonardo,” our men's line, and “Queen of Hearts,” our women's line. We produce all samples and small-scale productions in-house, equipped with Stoll knitting machines in gauges 3, 5, 7, 12, and 14, as well as all the necessary sewing machines. For medium to large productions, we rely on trusted and expert external collaborators. All our suppliers are located within a maximum distance of 20 km, and we perform quality control checks at every step of the production process. Punto Maglia’s production can be described as 'Km 0.'
With twenty years of experience in the textile sector, we are adept at organizing all phases of the production process and collaborating with the sector's top experts. Our extensive experience allows us to create high-quality samples at the best prices. We value collaboration with our clients, striving to find the best solutions concerning yarn, knitting gauge, and style, while following the client’s specifications. We source yarns from all Italian spinning mills and sometimes produce yarn in our own laboratory.
75% of our business is dedicated to producing for private labels, while the remaining 25% focuses on our own brands.
