Purple Mountain Recovery is a 501 (3)(c) founded in July of 2022 to create a safe place in the LGBTQIA+ community for people recovering from mental health and/or addiction. The name Purple Mountain is a nod to the founder's mother, who stood by his side and envisioned a world where everyone had access to the same care as he battled living in a world where many resources or safe places were not available to the LGBTQIA+ community while they were struggling with their recovery.
We are members of the LGBTQIA2+ community and our allies with lived experience in mental health and substance use disorder.
We know how difficult it can be to access resources and receive the level of support needed to heal because we have faced many of these same challenges
We believe everyone deserves equal access to these resources and support.
We aim to erase the stigmas that surround addiction, harm reduction, mental health, and recovery in our community and beyond.
