The PVA is a 75 year old Veteran Service Organization (VSO) focusing on Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and Spinal Cord Disease (SCD). The MS Committee, affectionally referred to as the "MS Mafia", is an all-volunteer group of PVA Members with Multiple Sclerosis; our goal is to bring attention and to advocate for all Veterans w/ Multiple Sclerosis not only within our own organization but nation-wide. Veterans w/ MS account for 30% of PVA membership as of Jun 2023! We are one of the few Veteran Service Organization (VSO) nation-wide who specifically focuses on SCI and SCD. MS is such an unpredictable disease and varies greatly from one patient to another; the PVA has a nation-wide group of National Service Officers (NSOs) who are specifically trained in SCD. Membership and claim representation is 100% free for the Veteran and more than likely we have a NSO at your nearby large VA facility. If you know a Veteran of any branch, from any era, who ended up being diagnose with MS please send them the way of the PVA. MS + VET = PVA
