Qaws Quzah Series company information, Employees & Contact Information

An online initiative dedicated to documenting and digitizing Qaws Quzah (Rainbow) series, a set of short stories published and distributed by Dar Al Fata Al Arabi. More than 20 short stories were released from this series by Rihani Foundation in Beirut. The first edition was printed in 1975 and several more until the year 1986. Qaws Quzah (Rainbow) series targets 3-6 year-olds and has been designed in an innovative child-pocket size which allowed it to be carried out anywhere and to be enjoyed anytime. The stories relate to the daily life of a child, motivating the formation of curiosity, the accelerated mental development and intellectual tendency to discover the unknown. The main characters of those tiny tales are children, animals and plants, that are familiar to children and easy for them to imagine. This series was one of the most widespread and most popular among young Arabs in this age. Dar Al Fata Al Arabi is the first Arab publishing house for children, established in 1974 in Beirut and issued 187 publication for children of pre-school age up to 18 years. Books that preserve the Palestinian heritage were also published by the publishing house. Many Arab writers contributed to writing and illustrating these tales such as Zakaria Tamer, Ghassan Kanafani, Mahmoud Fahmy, Rana Kabbani, and many Arab painters such as Hijazi, Hilmi Al Tuni, Bahgat Osman and Adli Rizkallah.
