qbig GmbH commissioned the world's most advanced high-pressure test facility for gas meters in 2019. The facility is located in GER - Leer, a “hot spot” of high pressure gas infrastructure closed to the Dutch border.
All 3 meter-runs operate independent from grid pressure benefitting from the close loop principle. Furthermore pressure management is very flexible due to a direct high pressure gas network access.
The layout of piping, vents and the 9 test standards is designed to perform bi-directional high pressure calibrations up to 52 bar in one clamping of the meter under pressure.
2 of the 3 meter-runs are capable of integrating MUT up to DN 500 with an overall installation length of 14,5 meter, including inlet/outlet piping.
2 large pressure blowers with a directly connected heat exchanger guaranty a stable gas flow of up to 13.800 m³ at 52 bar and 16.000 m³ up to 30 bar.
Experienced workers move customer parts carefully in separate dispatching zones, using FLT as well as a 10to gantry crane. Calibrations can be witnessed from 2 separate conference centers each equipped with a large window enabling a good view into the facility itself as well as live-monitoring of MUT calibrations via monitors.
