Founded in 2022 by Simran (she/they/he), Queering in Chandigarh is a queer collective aiming to establish a holistically safe community space for LGBTQIA+ Folx of the Tricity Area in Chandigarh, Panjab.
Based on the values of unconditional love and kindness, we nurture the sense of belonging to queerhood by having a reliably strong support system in place.
Our mission is to make the presence of brown queer culture increasingly visible in the global scenario by giving our queer people a voice to embrace, cherish and celebrate proudly.
With this, we conduct various events such as fundraisers, charity drives, job fairs, support circles, mixers and awareness campaigns throughout the year.
Founded by Nanki Dandona (she/they) in 2022, our Mental Health Chapter, Queer Lifafa, caters to the wellness needs of the Chandigarh queer community.
Our organization believes in the purpose of providing Queer Folx the agency of fostering their own space, access to fruitful opportunities, and positive socialization to meet and connect with like-minded fellow queer persons.
Through our activities, we intend to explore uncharted parts of brown queer culture through history, social activism, creative endeavors and personal narratives.
