It is a local accommodation, inserted in a rural environment, which has been passed down through family generations, having been used initially for farming purposes.
With the 1998 earthquake, Atafona (house to support the land, where animals and farm material were kept) was destroyed, having subsequently been rebuilt keeping the traditional construction lines and adding the comfort of a modern house. Currently it has a small agricultural production with some types of fruits, vegetables, teas and aromatic herbs.
We invite you to stroll through our space, relax in our hammocks or on the terrace and contemplate the view to the highest point in Portugal, the island of Pico. We are located in the parish of Pedro Miguel, a 15-minute drive from the city center of Horta and a 5-minute drive from Almoxarife beach is the ideal place to rest and absorb the surrounding nature.
The name of our farm comes from the Pigeon Torcaz * who chose our property to nest, so we have chosen his name and image to represent us.
