R1 Construction are a Midlands based contractor, delivering new build, refurbishment and capital improvement projects nationwide.
R1 Construction (previously Refurb1 ltd) was formed in 2014 by partners Ben Tomkinson (Managing Director) and Andrew Evans (Construction Director), initially focusing on key refurbishment schemes within the Education sector. By 2020, whilst still delivering on the refurbishment works that the company was built upon, we had naturally progressed into new build and expansion schemes. With a more versatile set of services, it seemed fitting to adopt a more inclusive company name, therefore our key stakeholders took the decision to become R1 Construction.
Today, R1 Construction work within numerous sectors, forged through strong relationships with leading UK construction companies, Consultants and Architects, Local Authorities and Academy Trusts. We now offer a wide range of services in both Traditional and Modern Construction techniques. Our services include Newbuild and Refurbishment, Internal Remodelling, Mechanical and Electrical, Roofing, Groundworks, Windows and Door installations, External Facades, Maintenance and more.
The company holds full accreditations with CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Scheme), Constructionline, Safecontractor, Federation of Master Builders and British Safety Council, and holds all business and project insurances, so you’re in safe hands!
