The Raleigh Firebirds are a member of The Basketball League (TBL), the third largest basketball league in America behind the NBA and the NBA G-League. As members of the Southeastern Conference, they play against teams ranging from Virginia to Florida, and further when the TBL playoffs come around.
The Firebirds are dedicated to creating a winning organization that fosters growth in player development and helping young professionals reach their career aspirations. Many Firebirds players go on to have successful careers overseas.
Off the court, the Firebirds are heavily invested in the community. During the offseason (and sometimes during the season), the Firebirds spend time doing community service, as well as visiting middle and high schools. The team heavily believes in STEM education and setting up players for success once their playing careers are over. The same philosophy applies to the underprivileged youth who the Firebirds mentor from all over Raleigh and the Triangle.
Home games are played at Word of God Christian Academy, typically on Fridays or weekends. Tickets cost $20, making it an affordable yet enjoyable experience for basketball fans in the area. We're here to put on a show, and the Firebirds aren't going away anytime soon.
