Ransom Place Neighborhood Association serves the most intact 19th century neighborhood associated with African-Americans in Indianapolis. We are dedicated to preserving our area’s history through storytelling, conservation, and civic involvement. We tell the story of those who came before us.
RPNA brings together residents and neighborhood advocates to celebrate Indianapolis’s rich black history and the legacy of Indiana Avenue. It exists to promote positive change and improvement in the neighborhood, and encourage renovation, restoration, and new construction appropriate to the fabric of the existing buildings.
