General Information Ray's Splash Planet, owned and operated by Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation, is a regional attraction open to residents of other counties and states as well as citizens of Mecklenburg County. There is a discount on admissions and memberships for Mecklenburg County residents. Ray's Splash Planet offers birthday party rooms, a playground shared with Irwin Elementary School, an outdoor covered picnic area, basketball gymnasium, horseshoe pits, Irwin Creek Greenway access, and other recreational based features.
