The community: The Regional Consortium for Development - RCD Africa, is an award winning capacity building membership organization that has brought together and deployed thousands of development experts who use technology & engineering as an enabler to achieve the SDGs. It is the regional partner for UNESCO's Chair for Emerging Practices in Information & Communication Technologies for Development.
RCD Africa's focus is on sustainable development using tech, professional management and youth/women empowerment, all key to economic success and social impact.
By way of social responsibility, it sets up Coding Clubs for learning institutions and supports the delivery of training programs.
RCD Africa is a coordinator of the Africa Code Week program by SAP & UNESCO that has introduced more than 17 million young learners and teachers to coding in Africa. It is a Google partner and implementer in computer science education, online safety & security and cloud solutions.
