RD Engineering Overview

RD Engineering is a family run business formed in 2006 and based in Manchester. Managing director David Andrews has over 50 years engineering experience in the polythene packaging industry. We can offer technical design, support and implementation of specialist machinery and punches in the packaging and plastics industry while mass-producing a wide range of cutters, dies and punches. Our services include: 1. Consultation and technical advice on polythene and packaging industry machinery. 2. Design and manufacture of precision components in all ferrous and non-ferrous materials, including tungsten carbide. 3. Full in house sharpening, cnc milling/turning with maintenance of technical components at our workshop. Products: Dies - Made and hardened to any size and punching machines i.e. Maklaus, Gunter, Arvor, Mal etc Hammers - Made to any size for the above Straight Blades – Any tooth formation, perforation size or cutting thread Formed & Shaped Blades – Any handle shaped size up to 350mm diameter Tape Unit Bobbins – For any width of any material glued tape Coated Blades & Cutters - Coated in any hard wearing materials including Titanium, Teflon & Niade Heat Sealing Knives/Rotary Perforating Wheels – Any shape, diameter or perforation Pneumatic Cylinders - With ejector hole through piston rod Die Punch Sets – Made to cut, shear and punch out any shape Rollers – Made in steel & aluminium to any size Jigs & Fixtures – Made up to 2 tons of weight Fabrications – Manufactured in any material, including ferrous and non ferrous Services: Welding – All types of welding and bespoke welding projects undertaken Sharpening – Blade and tooth sharpening to any specification Grinding/Lapping – Modification of tooling and polished finishes Punch Design – Full bespoke design and manufacture for polythene industry Installation – All types of packaging machinery and auxiliary machines To discuss more, please email rdassociatesengineering@gmail.com and we will respond promptly.
