The Reach the Youth Project was created to give our youth an advantage not only on the field, but off of it as well. Our work involves raising awareness, encouraging action and engaging in advocacy to provide children the key supports we call the Five Promises: Caring adults, Safe Places, A Healthy Start, An Effective Education and Opportunities to help others.
We will incoporate SAQ Training, as well as sport specific training into our program. Training will be a focus in our program, but it won't be the only focus. With programs being cut almost daily in the education system, it's imperative that we give our youth opportunities outside of school that focus on their personal development and growth as a person. I believe in giving back to the community to make it a better place. I'm an advocate for the development of youth in, and around the community of Multnomah County. It brings me great pleasure to be in a position where I can directly impact the lives of many. In an effort to make the community a better place, it's my wish that others will join me, in doing what they can do, to make the community a better place.
