The Faculty of Law at the University of Antwerp is a dynamic academic community at the heart of Belgium and Europe. With over 2,000 students and 340 staff members, we are a vibrant hub of legal scholarship and engagement. We are committed to high-quality education and research, and active social engagement, with a strong focus on sustainability, diversity, and internationalisation. Social engagement is a natural part of who we are. We approach our research, education, and governance from a societal perspective. We also actively use our legal expertise to serve the broader community. This is reflected in our practice-oriented postgraduate programmes, our involvement in non-profit organisations, and our contributions to public debate. Active pluralism is our guiding principle. Our law programmes in Antwerp are known for their practice-oriented approach and small-group teaching. Students learn to think critically about law in both its societal and international contexts.
