As the leading organisation in the region for supporting stroke survivors, we offer a diverse portfolio of services. Currently, we facilitate 13 different groups, including nature-groups, aphasia choirs, art groups, stroke support groups, and online meetings. Additionally, we provide home and telephone peer befriending services, ensuring that our support is equitable. Our community of Experts by Experience volunteers play a crucial role in our mission. They visit stroke in-patients and provide valuable CPD training for clinical staff. This informs and influences NHS processes, practices, and policies, contributing to a reduction in health inequalities within the community and returns agency, power and control back to those experiencing discrimination.
