Rajkiya Engineering College, Sonbhadra (an associate College of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University) was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the year 2015 with a single branch, Computer science and engineering with an annual intake of Sixty (60). Later on, in 2016 two new branches Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering with an intake of 60 each were started. The college has been shifted to its own fully residential campus in the month of July 2017 and all academic activities from the session 2017-18 is ongoing from its own campus. Within a short period of time, REC Sonbhadra has been able to build up exquisite infrastructure for carrying out all types of activities and has been equipped with all necessary engineering equipments as well. Located at Churk, Sonbhadra the residents reap the advantage of being in the Energy Capital of India while at the same time enjoying the serenity of the campus.
