We are the Brazilian network for education and research. We provide secure, high-capacity internet, personalized services and promote innovation projects.
Our system includes universities, educational and cultural institutes, research agencies, teaching hospitals, parks and technology hubs. With this, we benefit 4 million Brazilian students, teachers and researchers.
We were the pioneers, bringing the internet to Brazil, and today our network reaches all units of the federation. We are also connected to other education and research networks in Latin America, North America, Africa, Europe, Asia and Oceania through terrestrial and submarine fiber optic cables.
We are qualified as a social organization linked to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and maintained by it, together with the ministries of Education (MEC), Communications (MCom), Culture, Health (MS) and Defense (MD ), who participate in the RNP Interministerial Program (PRO-RNP).
