REEDS LLC company was founded in 2019 and is an innovative Ukrainian natural drinking straws producer, which specializes in the manufacturing of reed drinking straws. We possess technological conditions on the production of drinking straws made of vegetable raw materials: reed. rye. And paper straws. By producing the best alternative to polluting straws according to ISO 22000 (HACCP), we guarantee you not only big gratitude from our Planet but also food safe and high-quality product. By the way, we leave a minimum carbon footprint. We just crop dry reed stems at winter time (at spring it’ll grow brand new), cut, wash, process with high temperatures and ozone, and pack. Simple. Our company possesses a fleet of vehicles that can operate on fenlands under difficult conditions. We provide services to nature reserves, hydrological reserves, fish farming businesses and communities of people for land fire protection (That is a big problem in Ukraine). Reed production is a result of our fire protection services. We cut the reed stems to the required length and send it to the production line. In the production process, the reed stem is cut to a length of 20.3 cm (8 inches, and we can do different lengths if required), the edge of straw is sealed with laser equipment to avoid burrs, after that, the straw undergoes the cleaning of hollow space inside of it (these two processes qualitatively distinguish us from other manufacturers). Afterwards, the straw is processed with steam at 140-160 Celsius and ozone and being sent over for an infrared drying. Finally, a dry and completely sanitized straw is packed in a box. Our company produces fuel pellets from reed waste and provides fuel to all our enterprises. All materials are grown in Ukraine. Reed straw - is a game-changing straw for your business.
