About Refugee Talent Hub
Refugee Talent Hub bridges the gap between employers and refugees by providing paid employment. This is in the interests of the refugee, employer, and society. Work gives meaning, (self) confidence and contributes to a greater extent to better integration of refugees. Refugees and employers still struggle to find each other, even though refugees can provide their skills filling up the gap in the labor market and a diverse workforce demonstrably leads to more successful organizations. Many refugees don't have a strong network yet and many employers do not know how to get in touch with refugees. Job opportunities start with meeting each other; getting to know each other and discovering personal talent. The Refugee Talent Hub brings about such job-related meetings, the key to working together and living together. The activities that the Refugee Talent Hub organizes are small-scale and as practical as possible. We connect knowledge, experience, and contacts of a large network of companies, NGOs, educational institutions, government institutions, and refugees. We organize activities in cooperation with our partners who are always focused on increasing the chances of work for refugees, such as providing work experience trajectories. Our ambition is to create an impact, through a series of relatively small events, on the individual lives of refugees, participating employers and thus on society as a whole. The Refugee Talent Hub is an initiative for and by employers in the Netherlands. In January 2016 Accenture presented the idea of the Refugee Talent Hub to a group of CEOs at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. The main idea: there is a gap in the labor market and unused labor potential of refugees. Employers have a role to play in closing this gap. Since the end of 2016, the Refugee Talent Hub has been an independent foundation. We work with a paid partnership. Meet. Greet. Work. More information: www.refugeetalenthub.com/en
